Hi Everyone, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. I would like to schedule a time to meet with all of you individually with your sons to go over the remaining details to complete the “Arrow of Light” requirements.The following is what I will be discussing with you at that time. Pg 63 #2 Show your knowledge of the requirements to become a Boy Scout by doing all of these: · Repeat from memory and explain in your own words the Scout Oath or Promise and the 12 points of the Scout Law. Tell how you have practiced them in your everyday life.· Give and explain the Scout motto, slogan, sign, salute, and handshake.· Understand the significance of the First Class Scout badge. Describe its parts and tell what each stands for.· Tell how a Boy Scout uniform is different from a Webelos Scout uniform. I would also like to discuss with you about the future for your boys, and if you have an idea about what Boy Scout Troop they would like to join? In January we will be making the arrows for the “Arrow of Light” ceremony. We are estimating it will cost $20 for this project. Would you please bring the money to the meeting so we can buy the kits. I am also putting together a slide show for the crossover ceremony. If you want any of your pictures to be included please bring them to me at the meeting. Meeting Date: December 13th I am scheduling appointments every 30 minutes starting at 1:00pm.
